The County has provided a 6 month grace period to help support residents and businesses make this transition.

The City conducted public meetings on the Main Street Bridge Project on December 19, 2012, February 6, 2013, February 13, 2013 and April 9, 2013 to provide project information and seek public input.  Materials from these meetings are featured in the Attachments section at the end of this page.

On April 9, 2013, the City Council at its special meeting reviewed the Caltrans Bridge Inspection Report, proposed bridge options reports, an independent peer review report and a proposed bridge option selection criteria.  The City Council directed the staff to submit a bridge option evaluation report based on its selected criteria.  This report will be reviewed by the City Council in a public meeting in the near future.
